Hi I'm Emily
I'm a wedding and family photographer, wife, mama, and ice cream enthusiast.
In my down time, you'll find me re-watching Parks and Rec, working on house projects, or going on hikes and bike rides.
I've always been sentimental about life. On the night before my 5th birthday, I cried because I thought life was going too fast and I wasn't ready to grow up. Photography appealed to me early on because I was able to capture things I didn't want to forget.
Whether I'm capturing a wedding day or yearly family photos, I find so much delight in knowing that these moments and memories will be enjoyed again and again throughout the years.

Brumwell Town Photography was born out of a desire that my clients would feel like more than customers. That they would become friends. I grew up in a small town in Michigan and I loved the feeling I had when the mailman walked by and waved or when I saw the librarian at the supermarket in town. It was a feeling of being seen and known.
My hope is that my clients feel that way. I want them to know how special their stories and memories are to me and how impacted I am by getting to capture their memories even years afterwards. Sometimes clients become our dear friends and sometimes our dear friends become our clients, either way we love it!

Meet My Fam
Xavier and I got married in August of 2015 and have been working together since before that! He is my sweetheart, my hero, my best friend, and my second shooter. He loves to adventure in nature, watch Marvel movies, play board games and drink root beer floats!
Felix was born in 2021 and has been the most wonderful, bright-eyed little baby. We are big fans of being parents! We also have three pets, our rescue dog Shuri and our two formerly-barn-cats turned majorly-spoiled-house-cats Gamora and Nebula (I told you Xav likes Marvel movies right?).
